1. Our Commitment

Haily ("the App") treats the protection of your privacy as an absolute priority. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it, in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

2. Information We Collect

• When signing in with Google: Email address and display name (only with your permission)
• App usage data: Titles and dates of schedules, anniversaries, notes, and money diary records
• Settings: Language, theme, and display preferences
• Location data: GPS location for the weather feature (only if you grant permission)
• AI usage data: Text input for AI place/event suggestions, usage count for abuse prevention (Premium only)
• Google Calendar events (optional): If you connect Google Calendar, the app reads your events (titles, dates, times, locations) in read-only mode, only to display them within the app

We never collect: Contacts, advertising IDs, or biometric data

3. How We Use Your Information

• Providing app features (schedule management, widget display)
• Data backup and restore
• App improvement and bug fixes

We never sell or share your data with third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Storage: Google Firebase (data centers in Asia-Pacific region)
• Encryption: TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest
• Access control: Your data is accessible only via your own UID — no other user can view it
• App Check: Only verified app instances can access our backend — bots and unauthorized clients are blocked

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Backup codes: Automatically deleted 30 days after issuance
• Account data: Permanently deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request
• Log data: Automatically deleted after 90 days

6. Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase: Used for authentication, database, and cloud functions. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Sign-In: Used for authentication (email and display name). See the "Google Calendar Integration" section below for the optional, read-only calendar access.
• Google Gemini AI: Used for AI place and event suggestions (Premium feature)
• OpenWeatherMap: Used to provide weather information
• Google Play: App distribution and payment processing (Android)
• Apple App Store: App distribution and payment processing (iOS)

7. Google Calendar Integration (Optional)

• Haily offers an optional, one-way integration with Google Calendar. It is used only if you explicitly choose to connect it.
• Read-only: The app requests only the calendar.readonly scope. Haily never creates, edits, or deletes any event in your Google Calendar.
• Calendar events read from Google are used solely to display them within the app and are not stored on our servers.
• We never sell or share your Google Calendar data, and never use it for advertising.
• You can disconnect the integration at any time from the app's Settings.
• Haily's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Your Rights

• Request access to data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Request that we stop processing your data
• Delete your account (available instantly from the Settings screen)

9. Children's Privacy

Haily is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will notify you via an in-app notice or on this page in advance. For significant changes, we will also send an email notification.
